Engages in a role that directly supports various business needs to achieve the strategic goals of the organization. This includes creating, curating and distributing relevant and compelling content in a consistent fashion to a variety of stakeholders, working with various asset types in support of presentations, written documents, and videos, and training materials. The Specialist works closely with subject matter experts, channel experts, editors, writers, partners and external resources to plan, evaluate and commission additional content ideas and solicit and share insights to empower teams with high-performing content. Leverages domain and industry expertise to create executive level materials for internal and external presentations as well as general brand awareness. Organizes and maintains materials relevant to the division on SharePoint and other internal sites. Performs research, analysis, and coordination in support of divisional activities on initiatives such as project and communication management, policy and procedure development, and marketing. Interacts with internal staff, Business Units, subcontractors, and applicable departments at SAS.
Works very closely with executive staff to create dynamic, high-quality materials, often with little lead time levering subject matter knowledge to quickly represent complex topics with simple graphics and text.
Supports the execution of business strategies and/or programs relevant to the division through the creation of polished, professional looking presentations and other material; coordinates activities with other business units within the company.
Develops content for individual initiatives, as well as across all initiatives based on endorsed messaging.
Curates content to develop new assets from existing (info graphics, eBooks, blogs, etc.) using internal resources or third party creative vendors.
Maintains an ongoing inventory/audit of content relevant to key initiatives and conducts periodic audits.
Evaluates existing assets according to agreed-upon content criteria to propose whether they need to be retired, repurposed or revamped for continued use.
Integrates content plan with Blog, Video, Advertising, Search, Social, Content Syndication, 3rd party Community and Sponsorship, Ecommerce, etc. strategies.
Organizes, manages, and maintains team SharePoint sites to promote and share appropriate assets and implements best practices for content creation, reuse and optimization.
Identifies and analyzes the business needs of the department or business unit to develop plans for continuous improvement and to help determine solutions to business problems.
Engages in the project life cycle implementation process to facilitate and support the successful delivery of multiple projects; manages operational tasks associated with project delivery.
Reviews, analyzes and synthesizes policies, processes and guidance documents to facilitate understanding and usage by the business; leverages internal knowledge to support best practices for the business.
Builds relationships with customers, internal clients, project dependencies, and stakeholder influences that characterize partnership, cooperation and trust.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
Organizes and maintains materials relevant to the division on SharePoint and other internal sites.
Analyzes market and competitive information in support of assigned projects/programs.
Makes recommendations regarding processes and/or procedures to improve efficiency, customer service, quality and/or cost savings.
Provides recommendations to resolve complex business problems.
Consults with management or senior level domain experts prior to publishing any content.
Assists in leading initiatives across one or several divisions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint) applications
Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of audiences, including executives
Ability to lead project teams and gain consensus
