Responsible for providing leadership to the sales and account management processes and growing SAS’s revenues associated with the full breadth of SAS products/ solutions for an assigned Strategic Account. The job represents a balanced customer relationship management effort involving sales and account management skills, product knowledge/problem-solving/solution skills, and direction of all other and necessary SAS specialized resources assigned to Santander by SAS globally. 

The Global Business Director owns overall SAS leadership across all products, services and support to SAS Strategic Account (one of SAS’s top revenue producing and market leading accounts on a world-wide basis). The GBD is the day to day senior SAS executive business resource assigned to Santander, and is chartered to facilitate and own the overall account and opportunity planning process and its execution for Santander. The GBD will be responsible for the SAS communication inside our global organization and across all organizations and lines of business within the account. The key objectives of the GBD are to develop deep customer knowledge and influence through forging executive relationships across all SAS/Santander lines of business, increasing SAS’s reputation as a proven partner, increasing customer satisfaction and SAS revenues and footprint within the account 

Having a history of achievement of revenue objectives is critical. Viable candidates should demonstrate the ability to develop and implement business/account plans. The GBD will need to have an ability to work with the accounts’ senior management and across functions within customer organizations to gain commitment, obtain resources and achieve desired results. Excellent presentation skills and situational fluency of the SAS value proposition and Banking industry thought leadership is required. Experience with team management, and cross LOB/BU or international team management experience is critical, as is fluency in English and Spanish or Portuguese. Strong team building skills and ability to resolve conflict situations. Preferred BS or BA degree in business. Master’s degree is a plus. 10 years selling and account relationship management experience with major account.
