    SAS® security intelligence solutions offer proactive protection through advanced analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning. SAS® Visual Investigator is an investigation and analysis solution that enables organizations to manage the end-to-end process for alert triage and detailed targeted investigations.  As an offering built on the open and powerful SAS® Viya™ architecture, the solution can be used to detect, investigate and respond to fraud and other suspicious activity and conduct investigations. SAS’ Quality User-Driven Enterprise Software Testing (QUEST) for Fraud and Security Intelligence (FSI) team is seeking qualified candidates to create and execute end-user and analytic-based tests for this industry leading solution.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Review industry research or regulatory literature to analyze, design, develop, execute, and verify independent test programs, procedures and methodologies used to validate functions and models implemented;
    • Construct detailed business user, end to end, test scenarios and artifacts, exercising the software from the user interface;
    • Assist in the development, integration, maintenance, and documentation of test automation tools and strategies that will add value to testing cycles;
    • Create usage, validation and application-based test plans and other related test documentation as required;
    • Interact directly with product marketing managers, industry experts and product developers to test fraud procedures, models and solution code during the development life cycle to ensure software quality and delivery of planned functionality;
    • Build experience in testing specialized area of analytics by participating in professional short courses or conferences;
    • Review solution / product documentation;
    • Evaluate fix requests, track specific defects, and verify fixes. 

    Qualifications

    Essential:

    • Master’s degree in quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, CS, Mathematics, Advanced Analytics…);
    • Programming experience;
    • Ability to work with various teams to build an overall, customer view of the product and their expected usage of them;
    • Experience writing software applications and/or testing software systems.

    Preferred:

    • SAS programming (i.e. data step, macro, Proc SQL, and basic SAS procedures);
    • Experience with open source languages such as Python;
    • Practical experience implementing test automation tools and designing automated test suites;
    • Industry experience or technical understanding of fraud.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Mistakes, if you don’t catch them, learn from them
    • Ability to think analytically and to effectively communicate problems and fixes with development, peers and management
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to take initiative and adapt to changing testing requirements.
