SAS is looking for a Sr IT Program Manager to partner with business owners to define and drive enterprise programs with a specific focus on customer experience. Plays a strategic role in streamlining, planning, executing and governing the initiatives. The Sr Program Manager will also coordinate and interact with other cross-functional programs as and when needed. Coordinates program-level goals and objectives and how they impact SAS to reach the overall goal. Focused on strategy and implementation, with the intention of achieving organizational goals. Responsible for delegating projects appropriately and may function as a project manager for one or more projects.
Understands connection between internal business processes, systems and customer experience and helps drive change to the benefit of both the organization and the customers it serves.
Provides expertise related to improving customer experience, such as aligning multiple divisions to provide a unified customer experience and simplifying processes to enable customer self-service.
Ensures alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives.
Achieves program objectives by making recommendations to strategic plans and reviews. Plans, prioritizes, implements and adjusts delivery schedule, scope, resourcing and quality of the program requirements.
Facilitates business and technical staff to develop creative solutions to complex business and technical problems. Organizes and adapts to programs in light of department, division, and corporate goals.
Facilitates 3rd party product selections and coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and associated budgets.
Maintains program documentation such as program plans, schedules and status reports; coordinates, communicates, and facilities activities between team members and stakeholders to keep program on schedule. Responsible for facilitating overall program business objectives, goals, and technical requirements.
Identifies program dependencies and stakeholder influences, working jointly with other organizations who share responsibility for program success.
Negotiates resource needs and coordinates resources across business and technical groups for assigned programs including both domestic and international resources.
Aligns program goals with Enterprise and Business Architecture plans and technology direction.
Participates in educational opportunities; reads professional publications; maintains networks and participates in professional organization to always be up to date on job knowledge.
Identifies and monitors key measures related to stakeholder satisfaction and objectives attainment, working jointly with other organizations who share responsibilities for program success.
Acts as a central point of contact for all business and technical issues and interfaces with interested parties across the Company to ensure program success.
Independently manages one or more large scale complex programs.
Continually monitors effectiveness of programs and makes recommendations for improvement.
Builds a business case for potential process and/or procedure solutions and completes cost/benefit analyses as support.
Independently recommends process improvement audits and/or operational reviews for management consideration.
Provides guidance to less experienced team members.

Typically requires a minimum of eight years of experience researching, analyzing and/or reporting information related to specific area of assignment. Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification desirable or equivalent professional training preferred
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or quantitative field. MBA Preferred.
