    Germany SAS

    As a Middle Tier Developer on the Merchandise Planning R&D team, your duties will include architecting, developing and extending the core capabilities of the Merchandise Planning product. The person in this position will collaborate with subject matter experts, designers and other developers to build a market leading solution for assortment planning and financial planning for the Retail industry. This position requires extensive knowledge and experience with building highly scalable and fault tolerant Java based systems.

     

    Essential

    • Experience in designing and developing highly scalable and fault tolerant multi-tier web applications and distributed systems.
    • Proficiency in server side development including use of Java, Spring, Spring boot micro-services, REST, and MVC patterns
    • Experience with Openstack, Docker and/or AWS
    • Experience with Postgres and/or Oracle databases
    • Ability to provide significant input into architectural decisions.
    • Must be familiar with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

    • Experience building components designed for reuse
    • Ability to use Test Driven Development methodologies (Unit test and UMLs)
    • Experience with disciplined unit, regression, and integration testing
    • Experience with GIT, Gerrit, Gradle, Maven
    • Experience with Linux, Docker, Virtualization Technologies like Vagrant, VirtualBox, VMWare.
