SAS Risk and Finance Workbench has multiple positions available for experienced Software developers. The product provides a central web-based hub for Financial Institutions to orchestrate stress testing processes and consolidate risk modeling results into financial statements and capital plans.
Responsibilities of the developer will include:
Design, develop and debug software of diverse scope for new and existing components in accordance with designated development practices and timelines
Adhering to quality initiatives through functional, unit and performance testing
Collaboration with technical writers to deliver product documentation to both internal and external consumers
Assist testing team in validation efforts to establish product quality
Fix and verify software defects, and modify software design and implementation as necessary
Be willing and able to train and direct activities of junior members as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
3-5 years of software development experience and/or applications development
Demonstrated industry experience in server side development including use of Java, Spring, Spring boot micro-services, REST, and MVC patterns
Proficiency with SQL and databases such as Postgres, Oracle
Ability to lead design and development of components with minimal supervision
In-depth knowledge of the IntelliJ and/or Eclipse integrated development environments
Experience developing cloud based, multi-tenant secure solutions
Experience developing in a Microservices architecture
Base SAS Programming and/or awareness of Python, LUA is preferred
Superior problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Banking/Risk domain knowledge is preferred
