Summary:

We are looking for a Test Engineer to join our Curriculum Pathways team. As a critical member of the team, you will be essential to performing software testing and validation, as well as writing automated tests for web and mobile applications, in an Agile environment. Primary Responsibilities:

• Test software products using interactive and automated tests. Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action.
• Design, develop, and execute automated tests.
• Design, develop, execute and verify test plans and procedures.
• Plan and document testing tasks.
• Help formulate comprehensive Agile testing plans ranging from automation strategies to test plans for exploratory testing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• Experience developing or testing web and/or mobile software applications.
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, NodeJS and/or HTML5.
• Familiarity with GUI and/or API test automation in a continuous integration environment including the use of API testing frameworks and/or automated web-based testing tools such as Selenium, Protractor, and/or Jasmin

Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Familiarity with Agile development practices and testing techniques.
• Familiarity with developing and implementing test plans and test cases.
• Strong trouble-shooting and debugging skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to think analytically and to effectively communicate problems and fixes.
• Ability to accomplish objectives and deliver results in a fast-paced development environment.
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL or MySQL.
• Experience with XCode and/or iOS automation using tools such as XCTest, Appium, or other industry standard iOS automation frameworks.
• Experience testing web services such as REST.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with JIRA.
