    If so, join us on the AI and ML algorithms group as a Machine Learning Developer; an innovative and growing part of SAS Institute Inc. We are a group of Research and Development machine learning scientists/engineers and statisticians who researches new, state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms and turns them into production software. Our team consists of people from different backgrounds and a variety of professional experiences. Diversity helps us to look at the challenging problems from different perspective.     We are working on a variety of exciting projects, including automated and explainable AI, and we are looking for experienced machine learning developers with a strong analytical background and excellent programming skills to work with us. We’re not looking for a machine learning developer to simply develop algorithms but rather a creative and passionate engineer and scientist who wants to touch every aspect of machine learning by developing automated and interpretable algorithms that can change the world.  

    We’re looking for a Machine learning scientist to help us execute on our vision. You will lead and help drive the technical decision-making process and develop innovative deliverables for the entire development team.

      

    Essential Qualifications

    • PhD. in Computer Science, Electrical engineering, Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics or related field
    • 3+ years of industry or academic experience in Machine Learning, Data Mining and Statistical Models
    • Strong knowledge in machine learning algorithms from an implementation standpoint.
    • Proficient in C/C++ programming, understanding data structures and distributed computing
    • Excellent communication skills and the desire to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment
    • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills

    Preferences

    • Experience Automated Machine Learning and Model Interpretability
    • Strong knowledge in Feature Learning, Feature Extraction and Feature Selection algorithms
    • Knowledge in model assessment methods
    • Strong publication record in top machine learning conferences (e.g. NIPS, ICML, KDD)
    • Ability to implement distributed, parallel algorithms
