    Are you passionate about Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, DevOps, and test automation technologies? 


    As a software development engineer in test within the Quality User-Driven Enterprise Software Testing division, you will collaborate with public cloud developers within R&D to provide automated testing of the continuous integration and delivery efforts associated with delivering an analytics platform.  This role will offer you an exciting opportunity to learn various aspects of designing SAS Viya software for public cloud technologies.


    Primary responsibilities:

    • Working within an Agile environment to design, develop, execute, and analyze test cases and procedures
    • Entering, tracking, and verifying defects found in virtual configurations and environments in OpenStack, AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes
    • Develop and maintain automated tests using a framework in Python
    • Create automated test cases which exercise the end-to-end continuous integration and delivery infrastructure of SAS Viya offerings deployed in the public cloud
    • Participate in automated and performance testing activities of the continuous integration and delivery infrastructure for SAS Viya offerings delivered in the public cloud
    • Develop and monitor automated continuous integration test runs in Jenkins
    • Analyze and communicate test results, metrics, and status throughout the development cycle

    Essential Requirements:


    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other quantitative field
    • 8 years or less more of experience in development or testing
    • Experience with Windows and Unix based operating systems
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects throughout the release schedule
    • Ability to grasp new concepts and technologies quickly


    Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred:

    • Familiarity with basic concepts of virtualization platforms and PaaS (VMWare Player, VMWare ESX Server, XenServer, Amazon, OpenStack or Virtual Box, Cloud Foundry)
    • Broad experience with Xunit style automation frameworks
    • Experience using API-Driven infrastructure such as: AWS, VCloud, Kubernetes or OpenStack
    • Experience with DevOPs principles and strategies
    • Expertise in development best practices including source control strategies, design patterns, object oriented programming principles and code review
    • Familiarity with SQL or PostgreSQL
    • Proficiency in one or more high-level languages (PowerShell, Ansible, Python, R, Ruby, or Java)
    • Familiarity with Azure, Kubernetes, or Google Cloud Platforms
    • Experiencewith automation strategies used in a continuous delivery environment
    • Experience with keyword-driven or action word based software testing methodologies
    • Familiarity with RESTful principles and programming with REST APIs.
    • Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as Git, Jenkins or other Continuous Integration Build environments
    • Familiarity with networking and TLS security concepts as they apply to testing
