    We are seeking an innovative and dedicated individual to join our Technical Support Division. Come join our team and find out why SAS is a great place to work!


    As a Systems Engineer, you will work with customers, internal engineers, developers, and product managers to help our customers achieve their business goals using SAS products like SAS Environment Manager and other Business Intelligence products.


    Your responsibilities may include:

    • Providing technical support to customers by email, phone, and/or WebEx
    • Troubleshooting customer reported problems
    • Replicating possible software problems and identifying potential workarounds.
    • Reviewing documentation for technical accuracy, consistency and user’s point of view
    • Collaborating with other Technical Support teams to address problems spanning different support areas. 
    • Working with development to investigate reported issues and determine strategies for responding to the customer.
    • Coordinating with internal teams to make fixes available to the customer.
    • Collaborating with Product Management to Influence product direction



    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science or a closely related field. ---OR---- Associate’s degree, plus 2 years of stated essential experience / High School diploma (GED), plus 4 years of stated essential experience
    • 1 years of experience programming, software consulting or supporting complex software applications
    • Ability to work with people of varied technical backgrounds.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong working knowledge with multiple operating systems, including Windows and Unix


    • Familiarity with SAS products.
    • Ability to diagnose a broad range of technical problems.
    • Ability to handle multiple high-priority projects concurrently and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
    • Strong decision-making skills.  
    • Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
