    As a member of the IT Enterprise Solutions Applications & Integrations department, you will join a group of dynamic and motivated IT professionals working on cross-divisional and global internal software development projects supporting customer ordering and fulfillment of SAS software. Your duties will include developing applications, integrations and processes in support of software order creation, acting in a support role for order creation and fulfillment issues, and building, testing, documenting, and maintaining and troubleshooting global applications vital to SAS’ daily operations.

    The position level will be determined by candidate’s career level and qualifications.


    Primary Responsibilities

    • Develop and support existing and new product fulfillment processes, including modifying data imports and analyzing potential impact of implementing change requests.
    • Analyze, design, develop, enhance and support global enterprise applications that integrate with existing business components utilizing established processes, frameworks, and technologies.
    • Undertake appropriate and thorough testing on code changes, including writing automated test cases and performing integration testing.
    • Perform support tasks to comprehensively analyze application and process issues, including problem identification, communication and coordination with customer-facing support teams, possible mitigation strategies, and implementation of solutions.
    • Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning and daily scrum on assigned projects.
    • Regularly communicate work progress with management, identifying issues early and resolving them quickly to avoid or minimize impact to projects.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.



    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
    • Experience with object oriented programming and Java application development using several of the following: Java, J2EE, JDBC, JPA, REST, Spring.
    • Experience working with one or more relational databases and their associated access tools (eg: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
    • Knowledge of Agile software development practices.
    • Understanding of web service concepts and implementations


    • Excellent programming, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Exceptional attention to detail, and ability to adapt to changing business requirements.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage time across multiple projects, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on schedule.
    • Ability to work independently and with a team.
    • Ability to learn and retain complex business processes, and apply that knowledge to assigned tasks.
    • Experience developing using the SAS programming language.
    • Experience developing and supporting enterprise-level applications and processes.
    • Experience writing automated tests.
    • Experience providing on-call support for critical systems and applications.
    • Experience with asynchronous messaging systems.
    • Experience using source control.
    • Experience working with continuous integration tools.
    • Experience developing applications to run on cloud application platforms
