    As the demand for analytical insights abound, the need for quality data that is easily accessible through an enterprise data warehouse or data mart is at an all-time high. In delivering high-value analytical models, data preparation and data integration comprises over 80% of the overall effort. Therefore, to ensure continuous delivery of new insights and intelligence, dedicated focus on data management and data integration is crucial.

     

    As a Lead Data Integration developer on the Enterprise Analytics Services team, you will be responsible for extending SAS’ internal enterprise data warehouse and data marts, creating analytical base tables to support advanced analytics models, and preparing and transforming data for reporting and visual analytics efforts. You will be responsible for designing new data structures, loading them using standard ETL / ELT techniques, and assisting data scientists in leveraging the output for analytics initiatives.

     

    The Enterprise Analytics Services team utilizes the latest SAS products and interacts with internal SAS organizations to provide analytical insights empowering data-driven decisions. Team members are engaged in advanced analytical initiatives for HR Analytics, Customer Analytics, and IT Analytics.  As a member of this team you would have the opportunity to assist with the data management and data preparation components from the project discovery to the data analysis phase and the final visualization and conclusion phase.

     

     

    Qualifications

    Essential:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems or related quantitative field.
    • Three to five years of practical experience in a data integration environment, utilizing SAS & SQL programming languages related to area of assignment.
    • Background knowledge and best practices of data warehousing fundamentals, ETL, and dimensional modeling techniques.
    • Experience in technical lead role for a data integration/data warehouse project.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to formulate and communicate ideas, technical concepts, and best practices internally and externally.

    Preferred

    • Ability to mentor other staff members
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work with business owners to understand their needs and transform those needs into design requirements
    • Ability to effectively communicate designs and decisions to peers, customers and management
    • Experience with supporting customers through an analytic journey
    • Excellent troubleshooting and issue resolution skills.
    • Understanding of SAS products, data structures and programming technologies
    • Experience with SAS Data Management, including SAS Data Integration Studio and SAS Management Console
    • Experience loading data and creating reports into SAS Visual Analytics
    • SAS Certified professional
