Performs pricing and market analysis, and coordinates the implementation of pricing for SAS’s products and solutions within the government market in order to optimize profits and meet sales, marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives. Participates in the business planning process within the US Government and Education business unit for new and emerging initiatives. Provides front line support for an assigned team of Account Executives, Sales Managers and Sales Directors in matters related to pricing, overall deal structure, licensing strategy and sales operations. Supports SAS’ product marketing function through research and analysis of the government market, competition and product mix. Researches and analyzes the competitive pricing environment and future trends and makes recommendations based on findings. Communicates recommendations and findings up and down the organization via formal and informal presentations. Publishes updates on market pricing conditions to track company progress in specialized market niches or product technology disciplines.

Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).
A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline; MBA or MA with emphasis on research, statistics and analysis highly desirable.
Typically requires five years of experience in marketing, pricing, finance, social sciences, social sciences research, or a related field. (Experience in a specific domain, industry, technology, or solution directly related to area of assignment may be used to satisfy this requirement).
Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered in place of the requirements stated above.
Work is typically performed in an office environment, using simple, easy muscular movements, involving only the handling of light materials, tools, or equipment in easy work positions, and with no special speed requirements or long stretches of exertion. Vision requirements for this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
