    We are looking for a Product Manager within SAS’ Fraud and Security Intelligence Division. As a Product Manager, you will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and you will direct and manage the development of market requirements, solution vision, roadmap, messaging and competitive intelligence for SAS’s fraud products and offerings.  You will also work directly with software designers and research and development to design and architect for our fraud products and offerings.


    Your primary responsibilities in this role will include the following: Managing the Market Requirements documentation (MRD) for our products and offerings; Working directly with R&D to define features, scope and release cycles; Creation of the Solution Vision & Roadmap(s); Engage customers/prospects, and field staff for market requirements and prioritization; Contribute business and domain expertise for requirements, pricing, positioning and sales collateral strategies; Supporting product launch and rollout initiatives; Supporting customer, prospect and industry analyst engagements; Interact directly with senior leadership teams across SAS to drive this initiative.


    Also included within your scope of responsibilities will be ensuring knowledge transfer of the solution to Customers, Professional Services, Marketing and Sales; evaluating contribution to overall product line portfolio and making recommendations, including new market opportunities, product retirements or buy/build/partner activities; creating Executive Briefing documents to drive decision-making process; participating in customer briefings and sales support activities at a strategic level; and reducing broad concepts and complex business strategies into structured product management plans.


    We are seeking candidates with knowledge in these Fraud areas: 


    Transaction/Payment Fraud (ACH, Wire, Deposits, Checks, etc.)

    • Industry experience working in payment fraud prevention operations and management.
    • Thorough working knowledge of enterprise software platforms and applications
    • Strong technical understanding of web based solutions, XML, platforms and mobile Apps
    • Experience working in cloud-based technology environments is a plus

    Merchant and Credit Card Fraud

    • Solid understanding of card network specifications, rules and regulations
    • Experience with credit card and ACH transaction monitoring
    • Thorough knowledge of PCI
    • Thorough understanding of chargeback processes, regulatory guidelines and compliance 
    • Previous e-commerce fraud prevention, investigation or retail fraud prevention experience 
    • previous e-commerce chargeback management experience 
    • Previous work analyzing E-commerce chargeback and retrieval trends

    Case Management

    • Industry experience building and designing case management solutions.
    • Working knowledge of business and operational processes with financial crimes teams, specific to workflows, controls, and operational management
    • Strong technical understanding of web based solutions, XML, platforms and mobile Apps
    • Experience working in cloud-based technology environments is a plus

    Essential Requirements 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Fraud and Financial Crime Investigation, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent related field(s)
    • 5+ years of experiencedirecting and managing a Financial Crimes Compliance or Financial Intelligence Unit for a top US Financial Institution.
    • Experience combatting, detection and investigating Credit Card, Debit Card and Payment Fraud
    • Experience with one or more Enterprise Fraud Solutions either SAS, FICO or another enterprise analytics software provider
    • Experience managing relationships with our development partners, and performing some project management functions.
    • Experience managing/interacting with customers at technical, management and executive levels.


    • Ability to think strategically and articulate/translate product features, regulatory requirements and customer needs into user and buyer personas.
    • Ability to translate & communicate complex technical and business information to a diverse audience
    • Ability to apply customer and business needs to product management plans.


    • Experience in product management, product marketing, R&D, and/or technical sales support within the technology industry 
    • Experience in project management
    • Master’s in an analytical and/or quantitative discipline
