As part of a Risk Solutions development team focused on the creation of regulatory contents for the RQS product portfolio, the selected candidate - as a Senior Risk Content Specialist - will be on the crossroads between:
the creation and ongoing support of the regulatory contents for various Risk Solutions, supporting SAS customers in several countries to ensure they can make best use of the provided risk products, supporting SAS sales and assist in achieving revenue targets by providing industry/business domain expertise in Risk Management and Finance.
Creates and maintains regulatory risk software across banking and insurance for a portfolio of Risk Solutions related to Stress Testing, IFRS9, CECL, IFRS17, Solvency 2, Market Risk, Underwriting risk etc. Involved in all stages of the software product creation process.
Provides direct industry/business domain sales support through sales calls, sales tool development, and coaching.
Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders, partners, key consultancies, and system integrators to establish focused and effective strategic teaming arrangements.
Participates in activities that demonstrate SAS’ industry experience and leadership.
Identifies industry trends and emerging issues and helps to define SAS’ position regarding these trends and issues. Enriches the product portfolio accordingly to ensure long-term product positioning.
Works closely with sales staff to ensure successful positioning of industry solutions and that a consistent message is communicated to our customers and/or business partners.
Identifies competitor advances in the market and acts upon them.
Interacts with sales support resources and helps them deliver appropriate SAS solution design.
Assists with providing market-driven information for future product direction using industry expertise and direct interaction with customers, prospects, analysts, and other external resources.
Builds credibility and trusted advisor relationship with stakeholders and customers.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
May be expected to provide implementation services on/off site for the SAS Risk portfolio of solutions, involved in all stages of the project implementation phase.
May be required to travel on a periodic basis - will cover a wide geographical area that includes Europe but also other countries across the world.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Specialized knowledge in Finance and Risk Management in one more current regulations such as Basel CRD-IV, EBA Stress-testing and the new IFRS9 accounting Standard for banking or IFRS17 for insurance.
Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and procedures.
Business Intelligence experience using SAS or other vendor BI Platform Technologies
Data Warehousing experience using SAS or other vendor DI Technologies
Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills.
Ability to work independently, or as part of a team.
Ability to understand and translate complex technical and business information to internal/external audiences.
Master’s Degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related discipline.
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in Risk and Finance in the Banking or Insurance Sector.
Experience with IT technologies to support Finance and Risk processes is valued, namely programing experience in finance and risk models and/or algorithms.
Certificates in Risk Management and Accounting Standards are also valued.
