    Germany SAS

    As a Platform Technical Architect, you will use your experience and leadership to work closely with other SAS Architects and Installation Consultants in design, planning, and execution of architecture and installation projects. Primarily, this role will support a large number of installation projects across the US to ensure the best possible quality and experience for our customers. The architecture phase of a project is often our customer’s first interaction with Professional Services which makes this role a strategic part of our customer relationships. In addition, you will work with Sales and Pre-Sales Engineers during the software sales cycle to advise on SAS products and supporting infrastructure. You will also work with SAS Global Hosting and U.S. Professional Services personnel to estimate consulting services for our customers. 




    • Gather requirements for, plan, and validate customer deployment architectures to ensure feasibility.
    • Validate software orders to ensure compatibility with deployment architectures.
    • Assist in creation of Pre-Installation documents based on deployment architectures and software orders.
    • Certify customer readiness for installation and configuration services.
    • Coordinate with install consultants to share relevant knowledge gained during pre-install activities.
    • Support installation consultants while they are performing installation and configuration services as needed.
    • Participate in the Global Communities of Practice for architecture and installation to develop best practices and processes.
    • Support pre-sales efforts within the practice.


    Essential Requirements:


    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, or a quantitative field.
    • 5+ years of experience in SAS software implementation and support.
    • 3+ years of experience architecting and implementing complex SAS Architectures.




    • 1+ year of technical leadership of coordinating / supporting technical projects and teams.


    Additional Abilities and Knowledge:


    • Demonstrated understanding of SAS Architecture and deployment of SAS software in complex environments.
    • The ability to gather requirements needed for deployment planning.
    • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills.
    • Ability to develop and disseminate current and future best practice methods within SAS Architecture.
    • Ability to work and learn independently.
    • Travel up to 50%, mostly domestic.
