    As an Associate Systems Developer, you will be placed within our IT organization according to your best fit and SAS’ business needs. 

     

    As an Associate Systems Developer, you will:  

    • discuss the client’s requirements and the proposed solution
    • use development tools to write and test code to develop these solutions
    • test and modify systems to ensure that they operate reliably
    • respond to feedback
    • write documentation and operating manuals
    • train users and provide support
    • fault finding, diagnosing and fixing bugs

     

    To prepare you for this position and a career in IT, you’ll attend an 18 week intensive technical training program. In addition to providing soft skills training, the Technical Enablement Academy provides training in core SAS technology areas. The program begins with concentrated training where you will learn about SAS as a company, our products, and our core IT practices. During the Technical Enablement Academy, key stakeholders provide guidance, coaching and expert feedback. You will also have an opportunity to achieve multiple professional SAS certifications.

     

     

    Essential Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field
    • Minor software design and development experience
    • Minor experience with Linux operating systems
    • Minor experience debugging and troubleshooting system interoperability
    • Participation in an on-call rotation schedule (may include periodic after-hours work)
    • Good written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of audiences

     

    Preferences:

    • Experience with Python versions 2.7.x and 3.x
    • Experience with Ansible and Ansible Tower
    • Experience developing REST APIs
    • Experience with ServiceNow
    • Experience with MySQL or other relational databases
    • Experience with web technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS
    • Advanced level of Linux knowledge
    • Experience with Shell scripting (PowerShell, CMD, PERL, etc.)
    • Knowledge of cloud services and technologies

    • Ability to work independently or part of a team
    • Good organization and execution skills(delivery mindset)
    • Shows some analytical abilities and data-driven decision making
