  • Overview

    The Manager, Marketing Sciences will lead a team focused on leveraging analytics and technology to continuously modernize marketing for optimal customer experience and return of marketing investment. This manager and team will work collaboratively across the marketing organization and with the existing marketing sciences teams globally. The team will consist of experienced specialists within data management, reporting, analytics and marketing automation. The position requires a strong business acumen coupled with demonstrated technical ability to know how to lead, develop, explore, analyze, and present data and solutions to a marketing and business audience. This person will also work with marketing and sales leadership, sales performance office, digital marketing, operations, and go-to-market teams to help define and execute on the global go-to-market strategy.

     

    This role will be instrumental in establishing a marketing data and segmentation, analytics, and reporting framework strategy so that marketing teams have accurate and holistic data that can be accessed across the customer journey. In addition, the Manager, Marketing Sciences will be responsible for participating in a strategy for Marketing Technology investment.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drives key business relationship between sales and marketing organizations to ensure lead management is effective and efficient across the organization.
    • Advisor to go-to-market teams and others within the organization around optimal marketing mix and approach
    • Acts as key advisor to marketing leadership in development and execution of geo marketing strategy
    • Provide innovative thinking on how data management, reporting, and analytics can support the corporate and marketing strategy in an efficient and effective manner, including automation and streamlining of processes.
    • Partner with marketing teams to translate their business strategies and needs into analytical solutions that deliver value added customer centric solutions while coordinating with global community.
    • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to enable a culture that promotes critical thinking and change leadership.
    • DATA - Designs and develops processes and best practices related customer data quality and segmentation; provides support and training for marketers that create and consume customer data.
    • SEGMENTATION - Act as a trusted advisor and partner, providing strategic direction and oversight for the development and implementation of automated customer journey campaigns and to implement logic towards Intelligent Omnichannel marketing
    • REPORTING Provides actionable insights for and across the marketing leaders, managers, and employees.
    • ANALYTICS - Analyzes and interprets data, including customer analysis/modeling to drive customer satisfaction, adoption, and retention. Connects cross-divisional initiatives.
    • OPERATIONS - Evaluates business needs and improves efficiencies and capabilities using technology. This may include creating consistent, automated, repeatable tools to allow marketing to scale and reduce costs. Tracks and projects how marketing spend and outcomes drive impact and return on investment.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or quantitative field.
    • Experience in change management regarding adoption of new technology and processes for modern marketing.
    • Demonstrated experience organizing and managing complex projects and engaging with the business to prioritize.
    • Experience managing complex implementations and multidisciplinary teams.
    • Ability to relate technical concepts and analytics to a business audience.
    • Experience crafting the marketing data strategy, building and maintaining a marketing data platform that provides measurable business value, insights via data, and real-time reporting.
    • Proficiency in testing business applications that create or maintain customer data; execute segmentation campaigns, provide reporting and data insights.
    • Demonstrated experience managing teams of technical and quantitative specialists.
    • High level knowledge of SAS products and solutions offerings.
    • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Good negotiation, facilitation, and customer service skills.
