    As a JMP Beacon Account Executive - US Territory you will be responsible for increasing the growth and usage of JMP Software to a select group of high-growth strategic US based customers.  Major responsibilities include account management and sales of JMP software to these high-profile global customers through a direct sales model utilizing a consultative selling approach.  The JMP Beacon Account Executive will be responsible for achieving a sales target by developing and executing the global growth strategy for each of the accounts through ongoing and close coordination with JMP regional sales teams, global technical resources, education and training, and the customer care organization.  This important field-based Account Executive role requires experience implementing all aspects of strategic account sales including:

    • Understanding the analytics culture of the accounts and developing local and global plans to help foster growth, including effective alignment of our value add global resources including training, customer care, and technical support resources
    • Enhancing our global partnerships with the Accounts by collaborating closely with customers internal champions and executive sponsors
    • Setting strategy and leading and directing a team of business, technical, and customer service representatives focused on supporting these accounts.
    • Effectively use Salesforce.com for documenting customer interactions and identifying sales opportunities with high 'close' potential
    • Working with the customer and JMP Marketing to develop and publish customer success stories and participation in global JMP Discovery conferences
    • Significant direct contact with these customers and up to 50% travel to account sites

     

    Essential

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
    • 10 years of successful experience in sales of computer software, including experience demonstrating technical solutions, preparing and delivering sales proposals and managing global technical and educational resources
    • Experience developing and managing global strategic accounts

    Additional

    • Knowledge of software acquisition cycles
    • Experience in Enterprise Sales
    • Demonstrated knowledge of at least two JMP market segments
    • General knowledge of statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or related fields
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills and excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Ability to initiate and lead sales opportunities; to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics, and to develop a sales plan; to communicate technical and business concepts
    • Ability to travel up to 50%
    • US based location – Eastern US preferred

    Preferences

    • Knowledge of SAS System products and services
    • Knowledge of the analytical software market
    • Experience as a Team leader
