    Web Development Technical Year Round Internship – Legal Department Ethics & Compliance Team

    During your summer at SAS, you’ll partner with some of the brightest minds in the world on business-critical projects, and you’ll have the opportunity to be immersed in our award-winning culture, grow your social and professional network, interact with our senior leadership, and share your contributions with the entire company.

    The SAS Intern Program will allow you to learn from and contribute to our global regulatory compliance effort.  You'll be building websites that communicate laws and developing tools that track and monitor data systems.

     

    The SAS Legal Department has an Ethics & Compliance team which ensures that employees are aware of laws and regulations in areas like privacy, bribery, and international trade.  The Ethics & Compliance team builds online tools using web technologies like PHP, jQuery, MySQL and JavaScript. This is a year-round internship and will be located in our world headquarters in Cary, North Carolina.  During the school year, the intern will work an average of 15-20 hours a week, with the opportunity to work full time during the summer.

     

    Timeline

    • Applications: February 2019- April 2019
    • Interviews: February - April on a rolling basis.
    • Internship: Summer, School Year, Summer (unless graduating). Start dates for the internship program are May 14, 2019 or June 11, 2019.

Based on your prior experiences and interests, your resume will be shared with hiring managers across SAS. This will then determine who you interview with during the selection process. During the selection and interview process, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the team you may work on. 

     

    What are we looking for?

     

    Essential -

    University students studying computer science. It must be an accredited program.

    Microsoft Office. (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).

    HTML, PHP, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, MySQL.

    This internship is based in Cary, NC. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in a degree seeking program and not be graduating prior to May 2019.

     

    Preferences -

    An interest in technology, and in international trade, privacy, and anti-corruption laws and issues.

    GPA of 3.0 or higher.

    Experience with web development
