    SAS is seeking an experienced integrated communications professional to find and effectively tell stories that highlight the value of SAS’ four decades of analytics leadership.

      

    Is weaving together compelling stories across media, social platforms and influencers part of your DNA? Can you find the “wow” in a customer story, craft an edgy pitch on the latest business and tech trends, help imagine an infographic or video that’s exceedingly shareable, and respond to a media question on a ridiculously tight deadline?

     

    As a member of the SAS Integrated Communications team, you’ll earn coverage, manage editorial opportunities, cultivate media and customer relationships, measure and track results, and use social channels and influencer opportunities to share stories and guide conversations that lead to positive exposure for SAS and the value we provide our customers and the world.

    Essential:

    • Bachelor's degree in communications, English, journalism, marketing, or a related field of study.
    • Experience creating and managing public relations campaigns and programs for software and/or high-tech companies/clients.
    • A minimum of five to seven years’ experience, as part of an in-house or agency communications team with direct media contact; or as a technology writer or editor for a news outlet.
    • Experience not only writing, editing and creating news, but using graphics, video and social media to seed it, stimulate it and spread it.
    • Proven ability to build and place stories in national outlets, publications and broadcast channels.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

     

    Additional:

    • Demonstrated experience in translating technical lingo into a compelling story.
    • Proven ability to build collaborations across teams.
    • Social media savvy, with ability to integrate social media into PR activities.
    • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
    • Ability to multitask within a deadline-driven environment, and work both independently and as part of a team.
