What you’ll do  

As a Software Developer - User Interface and a member of the Data Management team in the R&D division at SAS, you will join an innovative and dynamic development team designing software for our next generation product suite to help users manage and make sense of big data. You will design, develop, and support graphical user interfaces and web application software for the Data Management Division product line. 

 

You will:

  • Design, develop, and write complex and original software code, application dependent routines, and project deliverables.
  • Provide support for released applications and maintain existing project deliverables by making necessary changes.
  • Perform development-level testing of projects, which includes verifying, tracking, and fixing bugs, as well as modifying project design.
  • Anticipate technical anomalies and enhancements for various environments.
  • Transfer and verify entire applications across multiple environments.
  • Design, develop, and ensure the quality of various prototype and demonstration systems.
  • Assist in the writing of external and internal documentation.

 

What we’re looking for

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
  • Some experience or coursework with web applications development using JavaScript.
  • Some experience or coursework with a JavaScript framework, such as React, Angular, or Vue.

 

The nice to haves  

  • Experience with the React JavaScript framework.
  • Some experience or coursework knowledge of Java.
  • Exposure to web services.
