What you’ll do

As a Program Manager, SaaS/PaaS on the Cloud Programs team at SAS, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing programs and projects across company business units related to our new as-a-service offerings. With your knowledge of cloud computing, you will help grow our “as-a-services” businesses more quickly. You will work on a team that manages SAS’s cloud strategy, shaping the future of how SAS aligns with the transformative journey that customers have embarked on to incorporate analytics into their business processes. This role also works across multiple business units within the company to help ensure a world-class SaaS customer experience.

You will:

  • Ensure alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives related to SaaS and PaaS across multiple SAS business units.
  • Plan, prioritize, implement, and adjust delivery schedules, scope, resourcing, and quality of various program requirements.
  • Own deadline-driven, team-based programs that facilitate overall program business goals and objectives.
  • Work with team and stakeholders to define program scope and goals.
  • Meet financial objectives, schedule expenditures, complete audits, identify trends, determine process improvements, and implement change where necessary.
  • Identify and monitor key measures related to stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Work jointly with other business units who share responsibilities for program success.
  • Act as a central point of contact for all business and technical issues and interface with interested parties across the company to ensure success of SaaS programs.
  • Work with a team based in Cary, North Carolina, but with global reach.

What we’re looking for

  • You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of experience in program management, marketing, sales, consulting, or related function in the technology industry, preferably with a software vendor.
  • Knowledge and experience with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and/or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) business models.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud.

The nice to haves

  • Project Management skills.

Other knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Ability to stay connected by using networking skills, understanding industry trends, and understanding competitors.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence others.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage in technical discussions with customers, partners, and industry analysts.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with demonstrated history of making good decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work in a highly collaborative environment across multiple business units with complex and ever-changing situations.

  • We love living the #SASlife and believe that happy, healthy people have a passion for life, and bring that energy to work. No matter what your specialty or where you are in the world, your unique contributions will make a difference.
  • Our multi-dimensional culture blends our different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Here, it isn’t about fitting into our culture, it’s about adding to it - and we can’t wait to see what you’ll bring.
