What you’ll do

We're looking for a Sr. Associate Solutions Advisor - Risk Modeling who will serve as an advisor covering all aspects of the solution, involving analytical, technical and subject matter expertise during the delivery life cycle of SAS Risk Modeling and Decisioning solutions.

 

Works to support SAS’ efforts in the following subject areas:

  • Risk modeling – support for implementation of our Risk Modeling solution, as well as offering guidance to other SAS personnel and customers. SAS actively works with a variety of customer methodologies, requiring understanding of both technology and domain to properly advise.
  • Risk Analytics – implementation of customer-defined risk analyses in one or more SAS tools. As an example, liquidity optimization and currency risk hedging in SAS’ in-memory calculation engine.
  • Other projects – SAS constantly engages with innovative new topics in both the analytical and technology spheres. Examples are climate risk, cloud technologies, and AI/ML use cases for banking.

You will

  • Provide significant support in ensuring customer adoption, and ultimately satisfaction, at every step in the customer life-cycle.
  • Participate in discovery meeting to collect, analyze, clarify, and document business requirements during the sales cycle to ensure alignment with SAS solution capabilities.
  • Deliver standard, customized and/or strategic, senior level solution demonstrations and presentations outlining the functional capabilities, competitive advantages and business benefits of the SAS solutions as they apply to client needs.
  • Participate in product and solution training to acquire and maintain a detailed level of product knowledge of core components of SAS offerings and assigned solution areas, how each solution addresses business challenges, competitive information to identify how our solution stands apart, and what challenges/limitations may be encountered.
  • Participate in or leads support and/or delivery of customized Proofs of Concept and pilot projects.
  • Provide demonstration and business development support at analyst presentations, vendor-sponsored events, trade shows, and user group meetings.
  • Develop best practices documentation and provide business and technical leadership by contributing and sharing information with peers
  • Contributes and/or reviews proposals, documentation, publications, and course materials.
  • Provide vision to optimize the use of various SAS tools being used by the customer to create an integrated system that meets customer’s business requirements.
  • Apply thorough knowledge of SAS products and solutions in sales opportunities.
  • Establish reputation as a recognized expert internally by maintaining and proving deep knowledge of technical concepts, external market trends, and the competitive landscape.

What we’re looking for

  • Desire to engage with a variety of topics, and ability to quickly absorb new information.
  • 1-2 years of demonstrated knowledge in the following fields: Risk modeling for credit or other purposes, general risk analytics for market risk (e.g. VaR, Asset Pricing), or Model validation and model risk management.
  • Interest in and exposure to enabling technologies such as cloud architectures, computational engines, and reporting clients.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAS technology and architecture is a plus, but a full understanding of our current offerings is not expected. merely an eagerness to learn.
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • Good problem solving, organizational, decision-making written, oral and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Travel as business requirements dictate at management discretion (anticipated 30% travel post-pandemic).
  • You’re curious, passionate, authentic and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Statistics, Data Science, Business, Computer Science, or related field. Master degree is a plus.
  • Experience with banking, consulting, and/or IT in areas and projects related to above.

  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered in place of the requirements above
