What you’ll do:

As an Accounting Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work with a highly collaborative team as you focus on working with our US and global suppliers. Our Finance division is looking for a new team member to manage the administration of the supplier registration process for new supplier requests and maintain existing supplier records in the vendor master data file. You will provide review of submitted internal supplier registrations from buyers as well as from key personnel in other countries as part of the North American Shared Services team, ensuring that supplier setups are in accordance with stated Corporate and company specific requirements.  In addition, you will be responsible for the submission of multiple payment batches for US and Canadian payment processing. Lastly you will be the administrator for a limited number of suppliers who will interact with the supplier portal.

 

You will:

  • Audit, administer, and process payment batches as part of a Shared Services Payables team.
  • Communicate with bank on payment issues.
  • Research, set up and maintain accurate transactional and vendor-based data.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and compiles reports, as needed.
  • Communicate with vendors, internal and external customers concerning invoices and payments.
  • Perform data entry of vendor and payment information with a high level of accuracy.
  • Perform internal and external reporting as required.
  • Work with other departments or employees, ensuring finance guidelines are followed.
  • Knowledge of IRS rules and regulations for 1099s and issuance of 1099s.
  • EDD reporting for State of CA.
  • Administer the internal supplier registration process.
  • Assist in the training of and acts as a resource for other staff. May act as a Team Lead in daily work and on assigned projects.
  • Identify areas needing improvement and implement processes and procedures to streamline operations and support best practices.
  • Perform testing of applications as needed.
  • May specialize in a specified subset of more complex transactions requiring advanced technical skills and/or excellent communication skills.
  • May create reports using available reporting tools that are used to monitor production data, problem resolutions, or reporting in support of operational needs.
  • May create documentation of processes and procedures to be used by both other team members and users outside of Finance or Accounting.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

What we’re looking for:

  • You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.
  • You have an Associate’s degre in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in general accounting, including data entry experience and accounts payable experience, depending on area of responsibility.
  • Location: Cary, NC

 

The nice to haves:

  • Oracle Fusion or other ERP systems experience a plus
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of company policies and procedures

 

Other knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles
  • Excellent data entry and number recognition skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products and accounting systems and ability to leverage systems towards better performance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to perform complex reconciliation of accounting information
  • Ability to work independently, with direction, and on a team (as needed)
