Summary of Duties: Design and build cloud-ready software with high availability and scalability as part of a self-driven agile team that delivers customer-ready software to satisfy business requirements at the end of every iteration. Develop scalable data platform for Customer Intelligence solutions. Build micro services using SAS midtier platform services. Work on big data processing using Amazon EMR & SAS Cloud Analytics Services (CAS). Perform development-level testing and writing unit tests. Provide support for software in the field. Prototype and demonstrate solutions. Work closely with the agile team (product management, usability analysts, UI developers, and test).
Qualifications: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Specialist, Senior Software Specialist, or Software Specialist.
Requires experience developing REST API’s and Cloud Based Applications. Requires experience developing in UNIX and Windows environments. Requires experience developing scalable big data solutions using Amazon EMR/Hive, SQS, Cloudwatch, S3, CodeDeploy, EC2, SNS, SES. Requires experience in orchestration services, Hadoop and EMR jobs management. Requires experience in BPMN based workflow systems, marketing workflows, marketing operations management systems. Requires experience with Java and JEE ecosystem, Spring framework, open source tools and technologies, and Activiti framework.
