What you’ll do:

We’re looking for a Software Developer to join our Fraud & Security Intelligence team.  This opportunity allows you to bring your development skills to a group focused on developing SAS Business Orchestration Services, a low-latency data orchestration and systems integration framework.  SAS Business Orchestration Services enables businesses to manage streaming data and integrate software systems by orchestrating data from virtually any source in any format, transforming and enriching those data along the way. 


As a valued team member, you will work alongside a diverse set of developers who share your passions for developing and delivering world-class software.


You will:

  • Design and develop high quality, testable, and scalable software systems within established timelines while adhering to R&D best practices and processes
  • Participate in scoping, planning, and tracking work on complex software development projects in a continuous delivery environment
  • Contribute to discussion of technical and design issues with other developers, managers, and product owners to ensure implementations satisfy functional requirements and are consistent with established R&D standards
  • Review the work outputs of other developers to ensure integrity and cross-product consistency
  • Ensure quality through automated functional, unit, and performance testing
  • Maintain accountability for the entire life cycle of product code including support for both internal and external consumers
  • Track and fix bugs
  • Mentor junior developers


What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Five or more years of experience with Java
  • Two or more years of experience working with message-based systems
  • One or more years of experience working with REST interfaces
  • Experience with systems integration and/or data orchestration frameworks
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies
  • Experience working in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery environment
