SUMMARY: 

 

Advises Healthcare clients and sales teams to drive revenue, increase profit margin, and ensure the highest levels of client satisfaction. Develops and enhances personal and team member skills primarily for the benefit of the pre-sales process. Possesses an expert level knowledge of the commercial healthcare industry, SAS products, and competing solutions in the market. Showcases ability to align client challenges and user needs to SAS solutions and advises project teams throughout ongoing service engagements.

DESCRIPTION:

 

Leads peer-to-peer level conversations with executives (C-Suite/VP level) to demonstrate understanding of the business challenges and advise on how those challenges can be solved through SAS solutions.

 

Strategizes with sales team on objectives for customer meetings, understands how this activity relates to overall sales plan, and provides functional solution leadership for sales opportunities

 

Builds trusted relationships with Account Executives and clients to provide practical and theoretical guidance in the business value of proposed solutions and set proper expectations to ensure customer satisfaction

 

Conducts discovery to collect, analyze, clarify, and document business requirements during the sales cycle to support the implementation team and produce a detailed solution proposal

 

Delivers standard, customized and/or strategic, senior-level solution demonstrations, whiteboarding, and presentations outlining the functional capabilities, competitive advantages, and business benefits of the SAS solutions as they apply to client needs

 

Leads subject matter expertise in the response to RFI/RFPs including defining solutions, technical writing, demonstrations, and orals presentations

 

Monitors competing solutions, understands SAS’ strengths and weaknesses in the market, and applies this information in written proposals and client demonstrations.

 

Participates in product and solution training to acquire and maintain a detailed level of product knowledge of core components of SAS offerings and assigned solution areas, how each solution addresses business challenges, competitive information to identify how SAS solutions stand apart, and what challenges/limitations may be encountered

 

Understands, utilizes, and communicates best practice methodologies internally and externally

 

Works proactively with Industry Consultants, Technical Architects, R&D, Tech Support, and other Solutions Architects to strategize on opportunities, cross-training, and knowledge transfer

 

Assists with providing market-driven information for future product direction using industry expertise and direct interaction with customers, prospects, analysts, and other external resources

 

 

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • 10+ years of healthcare industry consulting or business analytics
  • 10+ years of healthcare sales or presales experience with clear understanding of sales strategies and cycles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Health Policy, Business, Computer Science, or related field
  • Established track record of industry expertise backed by published whitepapers, blogs, webinars, speaking at conferences, etc
  • Strategic application of data analytics to improve decision-making and create business value
  • Travel as needed up to 50%

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Healthcare experience relating to Fraud, Internet of Medical Things, or Customer Intelligence
  • Experience in a clinical environment as practicing clinician or administrator
