Integrated Decisions and Systems, Inc. seeks a Senior Associate Staff Scientist in Cary, North Carolina. Integrated Decisions and Systems, Inc. Summary of Duties: Contribute to the research and development of innovative, market-centric products. Analyze customer data and build high-end analytical models for solving high value business problems relevant to revenue and profit optimization. Transfer client business requirements into a tangible product solution that addresses the specific customer requirements to ensure highest quality products and positively affect sales and client retention. Create and deploy new intellectual property to innovatively fulfill the needs of customers. Develop high-quality analytical algorithms (i.e. using machine learning, predictive analytics) with responsibility for programming, testing, and documenting. Build reliable and robust ETL process to transfer business data to analytics data. Improve performance and efficiency of analytic software. Carry out analytical data analysis in support of research activities. Understand and create high-end analytic models for problems relevant to revenue optimization. Collaborate with other members of the development, testing, and product management teams with an understanding of the business requirements.
Qualifications: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related engineering or analytical sciences field plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related data analytics research position. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related engineering or analytical sciences field plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related data analytics research position, or a PhD in the aforementioned fields.
Position requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience with software development in one or programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Python, and/or FORTRAN. Requires strong programming skills with good understanding in the fields of distributed computing, software performance enhancement and memory management. Requires experience working with databases ETL (extract, transform, load) on databases like RDBMS database, nuclear database, or other equivalent databases. Requires knowledge of or experience with algorithm development and analyzing data. Requires proven experience with SAS system and SAS programming, such as SAS advanced programmer certificate. Requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Requires strong written and oral communication skills. Requires ability to work independently and multi-task. Experience and skills may be gained concurrently through graduate internship, co-op, or graduate degree curriculum.
