With this in mind, we are seeking a results-driven, passionate, team-orientated and accomplished sales leader to lead our US Financial Services organization. As the Vice President, Sales, you will lead the company’s US growth strategy for Financial Services and its execution to help us achieve our goals. You will be responsible for developing strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization. In this highly visible role, you will interact with executives and senior leaders across SAS. The VP will play an influential role in supporting the company in delivering amazing customer experiences and securing the future of SAS.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Ensure the consistent and effective application of the SAS customer-centric engagement methodology to drive increased value for both existing and prospective customers.
  • Create and reinforce a goal-oriented, collaborative sales culture to ensure the attainment of team targets.
  • Manage Financial Services Sales & the FS Industry Consulting and Technical Advisory organization leadership to ensure revenue and financial metrics are achieved.
  • Optimize the sales team structure by hiring and developing top-notch sales talent. Identify and develop talent capable of executing a progressive agenda for sustainable growth.
  • Create and support a sales culture that is focused on critical thinking; prioritize the development of business acumen and its applicability to help customers achieve business value.
  • Create and execute on a defined solution selling process across the team and with our customers.
  • Accurately manage the sales forecasting process, leveraging data sources to gain insights that will identify gaps and enable continuous improvement in sales process / execution.
  • Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide feedback to the company leadership team and other company functions.
  • Work closely and collaborate with the marketing function to establish successful support, channel, and partner programs.
  • Manage key customer relationships and help close strategic sales opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrated success building/implementing a go-to-market strategy.
  • Proven ability building and growing various sales channels, both direct and indirect.
  • Successful experience coaching sales teams in the closing of complex, enterprise-level, software opportunities across various verticals.
  • Proven experience coaching a team of sales leaders to ensure progress against stated expectations in addition to aligning and changing behavior.
  • Proven experience establishing clear goals and expectations and then managing performance.
  • Successful experience leading a team of senior sales professionals and managers.
  • Experience establishing & nurturing key customer relationships and supporting the closing of strategic opportunities.
  • Experience providing status reports with market and customer feedback to senior sales leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability in all aspects of sales leadership; Lead from the Front .
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of the Financial Services Industry.
  • Experience managing a diverse team both in person and remotely.
  • BS/BA degree required.
  • 15+ years of software sales experience, and at least eight years of management experience with a demonstrated track record of success.
  • US Remote, Cary preferred
