What you’ll do

You will develop, test, document, support, and iteratively improve the SAS software for network analysis and network optimization. Central duties include submitting code in a continuous integration, continuous improvement, and continuous delivery pipeline. This could include test automation, debugging and bug fixing, new features and algorithm development, and composition of formal product documentation. Collaborative support both within the team and across other teams at SAS is paramount. An additional focus will be providing product-centric support for technical use cases and issues that arise in real-world business applications such as financial services, shipping logistics, and bioinformatics.

 

What we are looking for

  • Ph.D. in computer science, operations research, applied mathematics, or a related quantitative field
  • Five years of experience in developing software that solves network data modeling, network analysis, or network optimization problems
  • Experience with popular network analysis toolkits and graph databases, such as igraph, networkX, Boost Graph Library, neo4j, or janusGraph
  • Three years of experience in programming in C or C++
  • Three years of experience in implementing network or optimization algorithms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify and proactively solve problems

  • Experience developing commercial-quality software
  • Experience in implementing multithreaded and/or distributed algorithms
  • Experience working on a large-scale software project
  • Experience with SAS programming
