Summary of Duties:
Provide technical assistance for software pre-sale and post-sale activities, utilizing knowledge of the U.S. and LATAM region Justice and Public Safety industry or industry segment processes and challenges. Collaborate with account team to identify opportunities and articulate business and technical values. Deliver standard, customized and strategic presentations outlining the proposed software functional capabilities, competitive advantages and business benefits. Oversee technical discovery sessions, responding to architecture and infrastructure questions. Develop required client relationships in order to develop client trust and gain deeper insight to client situation, needs, and internal situations, with the intent of developing mutually beneficial long-term SAS/client relationships. Conduct discovery meetings to collect, clarify and document technical and business requirements during the sales cycle. Plan and implement requirements in alignment with account executives as well as customer retention and post-sale strategies to ensure account satisfaction. Provide demonstrations and business development support at vendor-sponsored events, trade shows, and user group meetings. Develop familiarity with company sales initiatives, product positioning, pricing, proposals, and models. Strategize with sales team on objectives of customer meetings in order to understand how this activity relates to overall sales plan. Provide functional leadership for sales opportunities. Participate in product, solution or technical training to acquire and maintain detailed level of product knowledge of core components of SAS offerings. Work with the extended account team of Industry Consultants, Solution Architects and Technical Architects to strategize on opportunities, cross-training and knowledge transfer. Assume lead technical and consultative role in issues involving complex customer systems and applications, utilizing a comprehensive knowledge of industry processes and pains. Apply extensive knowledge of SAS products and solutions in sales opportunities. Serves as high-level strategist to staff and management in the development of sales opportunities. Serves as account/team lead technical resource, counseling staff on technical issues and technical prototype development. Utilize appropriate applications, tools, and solutions to develop and present advanced customized prototype solutions and presentations to customers at highest levels of corporate visibility. Make recommendations to management regarding process guidelines and the effectiveness of existing sales tools, including customized applications, seminars, and user group meetings. May work remotely pursuant to SAS Flexible Work Policy.
Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, Telecommunications or a related field of study plus eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or eight (8) years of experience as a Senior System Engineer, PreSales Consultant, Technical Leader, IT Manager or related occupation.
Position requires experience with SAS Visual Investigator Platform, including experience with User Experience and installing and modifying the product as needed. Requires experience with SAS Data Management Platform, including experience with User Experience and installing and modifying the product as needed. Requires experience with SAS Data Text Analytics Modeling Platform, including experience with User Experience and capable of installing and modifying the product as needed. Requires experience with SAS Visual Analytics Platform, including experience with regarding User Experience as well as installing and modifying the product as needed. Requires experience with SAS Code, Python. Requires experience with Cloud deployments in a secure environment. Requires experience with both the US and the Latin American public safety solution markets including the cultural nuances of interacting with Federal and local police entities from the various countries and regions. Requires experience with direct customer engagement and demonstration of software thru in person and remote contacts. Requires both communications and technical fluency in English and Spanish.
