As an intern on the Client Technologies Deployment & Support team, you will be responsible for providing IT support to SAS US employees on a variety of operating systems, client hardware devices, business applications, and software. Your knowledge and skills will help support a rapidly changing and innovative technical infrastructure. 

 

As an intern, you might:   

  • Be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and sanitization of desktops, laptops, tablets, and printers that move through the Repair Depot. 
  • Provide internal Tier 3 hardware support for SAS employees 
  • Create technical documentation 
  • Collaborate with other IT personnel and resources to efficiently resolve technical problems and implement improvements. 
  • Provide updates and status reports to management. 

 

Required Qualifications   

  • Currently enrolled in a degree seeking program studying Computer Science, Business, or a related field and not graduating prior to December 2025
  • Work Hours: Available to work 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and full-time hours during the summer of 2025.   
  • Ability to multi-task 
  • Superior problem-solving skills 
  • Experience with Windows, macOS, and iOS devices 
  • The ability to lift 75lbs.

Preferred Qualifications   

  • Programming experience (SAS, Python, Java/JavaScript, C#, PHP) is a nice to have 
  • PC building experience 

 

Location   

  • Ability to work on-site at SAS Cary Headquarters. This is an in-person internship.

Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant’s year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 – $31 for associate’s/bachelor’s level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master’s/Ph. D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonus.
