The Human Resources People Analytics Team is responsible for collecting, governing, and analyzing human resources data to ensure that SAS continues to be a great place to work. Ultimately, this team supports SAS by providing reliable data, analytics, and insights needed to understand the employee life cycle and execute data-driven decision making. Talk about meaningful work!    

As an intern, you might:  

• Analyze employee data to provide data-driven insights. 
• Assist in preparing presentations and reports for stakeholders.  
• Promote a culture of data literacy and learning by creating transparent documentation for HR audiences. 
• Support the creation and administration of a human resources survey. 
• Conduct research on best practices in people analytics and HR technology.  

Required Qualifications  

• Degree Type: Bachelor’s or Master’s  
• Targeted majors: Human Resources, Business Management and/or Analytics, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or Information Systems. 
• You’re a college student enrolled in an accredited program, not graduating prior to December 2025.  
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. 
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. 
• Experience with manipulating and visualizing data. 
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse staff. 
• You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.  
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.  
• Leadership abilities. Your past experiences demonstrate you’ll take initiative and go above and beyond the call of duty.  
• You’re interested in the future of Analytics and embrace technology.  

Preferred Qualifications  

• Experience with coding in SAS. 
• Knowledge of types of human resources data.  
• Working knowledge of data structures needed for analyses. 
• Storytelling with data. 
• Knowledge of survey best practices.  

Location  

This internship will be a hybrid position based in Cary, NC, with the option to be fully remote.

The management for this team is remote.

Internship dates:

May 20 – August 8, 2025. We can be flexible on start date if your university is on a quarter system.  Internships last 12 weeks in total length.

Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant’s year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 – $31 for associate’s/bachelor’s level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master’s/Ph.D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonus.
