Start Date:  We are hiring for year-round and summer interns. Part-time interns work 10-15 hours during the academic year and full-time during the summer.

The Analytic Software Tester is responsible for contributing to the numerical validation, testing, and documentation of streaming analytics algorithms. You will work closely with the IoT Applied Analytics development team and provide performance and usability feedback. You will gain knowledge of the software development life cycle and participate in the software release cycle. This position provides an excellent opportunity to explore software testing or software development as a career choice.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD. student majoring in Statistics, Math, or Electrical Engineering
  • You’re a college student enrolled in an accredited program, not graduating prior to December 2025.
  • You've got programing experience in one or more of the following languages: SAS, Python, Lua
  • You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Leadership abilities. Your past experiences demonstrate you’ll take initiative and go above and beyond the call of duty.
  • You’re interested in the future of Analytics and embrace technology.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to handle deadlines in a multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to quickly learn new technical skills
  • Experience with developing & implementing test plans
  • Experience with testing software
  • Experience with multiple operating systems, such as UNIX
  • Programming experience with matrix-oriented languages like SAS/IML, Matlab, R, or S-Plus

Internship Dates:

  • Year Round:  Beginning January 2025 
  • Summer Only: May 20 – August 8, 2025. If your university is on a quarter system, we can be flexible on start date.

Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant’s year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 – $31 for associate’s/bachelor’s level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master’s/Ph. D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonus.
