About the job

The Migration Conversion team is looking to hire a Software Developer to help move SAS9 objects over to Viya 4. If you enjoy learning new things and working on different projects, this role might be for you. This team works on a conversion service that is continually updated as we move objects over to the target application UI. This work is critical to SAS being successfully in getting our customers off of our older SAS-9 system and moved to Viya4. 

 

As a Software Developer, you will:

  • Develop and support robust quality engineering solutions at every layer of the software development life cycle. 
  • Empower your team to continuously deliver enterprise grade software to production by engineering quality into the continuous delivery pipeline. 
  • Create and maintain the highest quality of Rest APIs, using modern development techniques, and provide key data points to support metrics-based decision making. 
  • Capitalize upon your creativity by developing innovative solutions to complex problems. 
  • Produce key data that illustrates the quality of applications and develop insight that drives the direction of quality engineering. 
  • Work with your team to promptly triage test failures with precision and accuracy, maintaining the health of the build pipeline. 
  • Work collaboratively with development, product, operations, and support peers to encourage quality.

Required qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in code development
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field. 
  • Experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, Typescript, React or Go
  • Proficient with source control management techniques (Git, GitHub) including branching, code review, and merging

  • Ability to pivot quickly and seamlessly toward areas of need.
