About the job

The Accounts Payable team is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to maintain and manage vendor master data to ensure accuracy and compliance with business standards, process and reconcile automated payment runs in Oracle Fusion.

 

As a Accounts Payable Specialist you will: 

  • Partner with the SAS community and external vendors to create, update and maintain vendor master data in compliance with business requirements.
  • Audits, administers or processes vendor payments, and/or other accounting operations data entry.
  • Researches, processes and verifies the accuracy of applicable accounting information.
  • Maintains accurate accounting records and compiles reports, as needed.
  • Communicates with vendors, internal and external customers concerning invoices and payments in a timely manner.
  • Performs data entry of accounting information with a high level of accuracy.
  • Reconciles accounting information.
  • Performs complex clerical and entry-level accounting activities.
  • Performs entry-level bookkeeping and accounting tasks.

 

Required Qualifications 

  • Minimum four years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping, including data entry experience and accounts payable/receivable experience, depending on area of responsibility.
  • Associate’s degree in business/accounting or equivalent
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products and accounting systems and ability to leverage systems towards better performance.
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Must be able to perform complex reconciliation of accounting information
