About the job

 

The Senior Business Operations Specialist role directly supports business operations to achieve the strategic goals of the organization. Leverages domain and industry expertise. Performs research, analysis, and coordination in support of divisional activities on initiatives such as budgeting, project and communication management, policy and procedure development, and strategic planning. Provides problem solving and/or trouble-shooting on company systems or processes. Interacts with internal staff, Business Units, subcontractors, and applicable departments at SAS.

 

As a Sr. Business Operations Specialist, you will:

 

  • Support the U.S. Public Sector sales business unit with reporting, forecasting, analysis, producing qualitative and quantitative insights to support with driving the business forward
  • Work with Go To Market Operations leadership to co-create standards for forecasting and reporting strategies.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to fellow colleagues regarding relevant data stories, tools and processes aiming to improve sales and sales operations productivity.
  • Support the development and execution of business strategies and/or programs; align scope with strategic business objectives and regularly report on status to management.
  • Identify and analyze the business needs of the department or assigned business units to develop plans for continuous improvement and to help determine solutions to business problems.
  • Identify and investigate options and recommend courses of action to drive and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Review, analyze and synthesize policies, processes and guidance documents to facilitate understanding and usage by the business.
  • Leverage prior experience in incentive compensation and Go To Market Operations to develop best practices around business processes, methodologies and best practices to support the business.

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Must live in the U.S.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Training and Development, Accounting, Computer Science or related field
  • Typically requires 8+ years of experience in technology sales operations or finance
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Strong budgeting and forecasting experience.
  • Experienced in developing reports and models.
  • Experienced in supporting Sales teams.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure; ability to prioritize projects and adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to analyze solutions for business operations environment and internal customers

  • Experience working with Sales teams
  • Preference for candidates who have worked at a public company
