Sr. Manager, Prospecting Development and Intern Manager

 

Cary, NC or Remote

We are seeking an energetic and strategic Prospecting Development and Intern Manager to oversee the initial stages of prospecting, support intern development, and help drive revenue growth for our US Commercial Sales team. This role is ideal for someone who excels in lead generation and has a passion for coaching, guiding, and developing emerging talent within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize a prospecting strategy that identifies, engages, and qualifies new business opportunities.
  • Develop and manage a scalable lead generation process, utilizing a combination of research, SalesLoft, and our CRM system.
  • Source, recruit, and onboard interns and prospecting development specialists, maintaining a strong talent pipeline.
  • Conduct training sessions to teach core sales and prospecting skills, from lead generation and CRM navigation to communication best practices.
  • Regularly evaluate and provide constructive feedback to interns, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and skill-building.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to provide insight into lead quality, conversion rates, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to identify and execute event to drive lead generation.
  • Foster an environment where interns and team members feel empowered to continuously learn, take ownership, and pursue professional development.
  • Encourage team members to engage in skills training, workshops, and knowledge sharing to promote personal and professional growth.
  • Recognize and reward achievements, encouraging a positive, growth-oriented atmosphere that aligns with company goals.
  • Track prospecting and lead generation metrics, optimizing approaches based on performance data.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on lead generation, intern performance, pipeline generation and overall contribution to company revenue goals.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales prospecting, business development, or a similar role, with a proven track record in lead generation. 2+ year(s) of experience in managing or mentoring interns or junior team members is preferred.
  • Skills:

o Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

o Proficiency in CRM software and lead generation tools.

o Ability to analyze data, report on performance metrics, and implement strategies based on findings.

o High level of adaptability, proactive problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

o Experience in event support or coordination, with a focus on lead generation and attendee engagement.
