Summary of Duties: Develop cloud-native applications across Risk, Finance and Retail domains based on multiple SAS platform versions. Help with solution architecture, performance engineering, containerized deployments and DevOps / CloudOps activities for the same set of solutions. Maintain accountability of entire lifecycle of code including support for internal and external stakeholders. Provide solution support to various groups such as Services, Tech Support, Pre-Sales, Global Hosting, and customers. May work remotely pursuant to SAS’ Flexible Work Program.

 

Qualifications:  Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related quantitative field and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or eight (8) years of experience as a Software Specialist, Software Engineer, Technical Associate, or related occupation.

 

Requires proficiency working with cloud technologies like Azure, AWS, and GCP. Requires expert knowledge of Kubernetes and docker-based deployment automation. Requires experience in setting up DevOps and CI/CD processes using tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Shell Scripting, and Docker. Requires expert knowledge in performing, monitoring, and debugging solutions based on SAS Viya and SAS 9.x platforms. Requires extensive experience with databases like Oracle and Postgres. Requires working knowledge with scripting languages like Python. May work remotely pursuant to SAS’ Flexible Work Program.
