- Act as a product and solution expert for SAS Viya and related SAS platforms, providing thought leadership to bridge new R&D advancements into managed application services for government analytics workloads.
- Design, document, and maintain scalable, resilient, and compliant hosting architectures across SAS datacenters, Azure, and future Azure Government environments.
- Develop technical solutions to accelerate delivery cycles. Provide input and direction on leveraging automation, standardized deployment models, and advanced cloud capabilities (AKS, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, Data Platforms).
- Lead architectural reviews and technical risk assessments to keep alignment with NIST 800-53, HIPAA, CJIS, FERPA, and other data protection requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with SAS R&D, Cloud & Information Services, and Security to resolve technical blockers and support ongoing environment migration and integration.
- Drive platform modernization by developing cloud-native, scalable resource strategies for both stateful and stateless services, ensuring efficient use of cloud resources and operational excellence.
- Communicate actionable recommendations regarding security, reliability, operational performance, and cost optimization to both SAS and customer stakeholders.
- Support delivery and migration scheduling, production readiness, and post-migration technical validation for major program workstreams.
- Stay current with SAS Managed Cloud Services architecture standards, Azure platform advancements, and compliance frameworks
- Provide technical leadership and direction to other technical resources and engineers.
