About the job

The Corporate Marketing team is looking for a strategic and hands-on Technical Product Marketing Manager to define and execute how we bring our SAS Viya platform products to life through compelling messaging and technical content. In this role, you’ll own the strategy for how we tell our product stories, working closely with product managers, engineers, and sales teams to develop deep product understanding and translate it into engaging and effective marketing deliverables. This is an ideal role for a technically fluent storyteller who is passionate about helping customers understand and adopt complex technology through clear, concise, and value-driven messaging and content.

 

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Technical Messaging & Content, you will:

  • Develop and refine product and persona messaging frameworks that clearly articulate the value, differentiators, and use cases of our solutions.
  • Lead the strategy and execution of technical marketing content, including product demo videos, feature walk-throughs, interactive tools, and other customer-facing materials.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deeply understand product capabilities, roadmap, and technical differentiators.
  • Ensure content is audience-appropriate, technically accurate, and aligned with go-to-market .
  • Define the approach and standards for product demos, from storyline development to visual execution.
  • Partner with product teams and field-facing teams to build scalable demo assets.
  • Support the creation of live and recorded demo experiences for marketing campaigns, events, and sales enablement.
  • Work closely with product management, marketing, customer success, and sales to ensure technical messaging resonates with the target audience.
  • Partner with demand gen and campaigns to integrate product stories into marketing initiatives.
  • Act as a key liaison to field teams to gather feedback and continuously improve product messaging and content effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about market trends, customer pain points, and competitive positioning.
  • Use insights to shape technical narratives and ensure our content is relevant and differentiated.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • 8 years in product marketing, technical marketing, or a related role.
  • Experience developing and delivering technical content and product-level messaging.
  • Strong understanding of technology and ability to translate complex features into customer value.
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with tools such as Figma, Loom, Camtasia, or other content creation platforms.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
