Join the Risk Innovation team and help shape the future of our risk solutions! We’re a fast-moving group within Risk R&D’s Solution Architecture team that thrives on cutting-edge technology, rapid prototyping, and creative problem-solving. You’ll work on projects that push boundaries, explore emerging technologies, and build scalable solutions that make a real impact while learning something new every day. As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience with modern tools and frameworks, collaborate with experienced developers, and receive mentorship to accelerate your growth in software development. 

 

As an intern, you might: 

  • Use Python to build new AI agents to expand on our existing Generative AI use cases. 
  • Develop and optimize our Go microservices, contributing to a scalable and performant architecture. 
  • Build engaging front-end components using React and other modern frameworks to deliver intuitive user experiences. 
  • Work with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes to deploy and manage applications in cloud environments. 
  • Collaborate with senior developers to review solution designs, learn best practices, and contribute to innovation across the Risk solutions ecosystem. 

 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in progress 
  • Targeted majors: Computer Science (or related field) 
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited program, not graduating prior to December 2026. 
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: 
  • Python 
  • Go 
  • JavaScript 
  • Curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do. 
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal. 
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a track record of going above and beyond the call of duty. 
  • Interest in the future of analytics and enthusiasm for embracing new technologies. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly. 
  • Solid understanding of software development principles, including version control (Git) and debugging. 
  • Experience building AI agents. 
  • Familiarity with web technologies and frameworks.

Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant’s year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 – $31 for associate’s/bachelor’s level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master’s/Ph.D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonus.
