Our team is looking for an experienced life sciences advisor that can join us to transform how pharmaceutical sponsors make impactful use of and build on SAS analytical offerings to advance new therapies to patients!
The Life Sciences Executive Advisor is responsible for designing and executing decision maker messages for our enterprise and strategic customers. This advisor is reporting directly to the global industry head of health care and life sciences and is acting as an industry expert for all life sciences offerings, value propositions and works both as an individual contributor where needed and as a matrix leader in driving new strategies, go-to market plans and though leader initiatives together with the GTM, Global Industry Marketing, local CA and account teams and overall HLS teams at SAS.
As a Life Sciences Executive Advisor, you will:
- Establish and maintain credibility through deep industry relationships and specialized knowledge in life sciences and analytics.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and senior stakeholders, guiding strategies that leverage AI, analytics, and technology for business value.
- Influence industry networks and decision-makers to position SAS as a leader in innovative analytical and AI solutions for therapeutic development and manufacturing.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations, demos, and use cases that illustrate the value of SAS technologies and solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and strategic partners to create tailored solutions, drive adoption, and maximize client investment in SAS.
- Shape industry-specific sales strategies by analyzing trends, identifying disruptions, and defining value propositions aligned with SAS offerings.
- Advocate for SAS through thought leadership—publishing content, speaking at events, and engaging with key industry organizations.
- Provide market-driven insights to influence product direction and ensure SAS solutions meet evolving industry needs.
- Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.

Required qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of related experience within life sciences.
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related discipline.
- Demonstrated industry relationships and credibility focused within the pharmaceutical sciences.
- Demonstrated understanding of therapeutic development and manufacturing processes, and the information technology required to optimize these processes
- Demonstrated ability to understand and translate complex technical information to business audiences both internally and externally.
- Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

- Influencing: Using effective involvement and persuasion strategies to gain acceptance of ideas and commitment to actions that support specific work outcomes.
- (Executive) MBA or executive leadership (coaching) program and degree
- Experience developing industry-focused sales strategies and driving customer success.
- Proficiency in relevant software and analytical tools.
- Work with data scientists, statisticians, and IT professionals to translate requirements to analytical solutions that generate value and ROI
