The Customer Success team is responsible for establishing and building broad relationships with SAS customers to adopt and expand usage of their SAS software and solutions, to identify new opportunities, to foster referenceable relationships with SAS customers, and to engage with other SAS resources to bring the necessary domain and SAS expertise to assist with existing SAS implementations and identify new sales opportunities. The team is also responsible for securing renewals.

 

As an intern, you might:

  • Assist with communications to support the customer success team. This may include drafting correspondence for internal communications.
  • Assist in the ongoing maintenance of our customer tracking tools like Gainsight, Orion, and SharePoint. This includes reviewing content with content owners to appropriately archive and/or have the content updated to keep it relevant for Customer Success Managers and Renewals Specialists who leverage this content.
  • Participate in team meetings and assist with the development and tracking of action plans.
  • Gain exposure to a wide range of industries, including Government (state, local, and education), Financial Services (banking and insurance), Healthcare, Life Sciences, and a variety of Commercial sectors such as Energy, Entertainment, Retail, Manufacturing, and more.

  

Required qualifications

  • You’re an undergraduate college student enrolled in an accredited program, not graduating prior to December 2026.  
  • Currently pursuing undergraduate degree studying Business Information Technology, MIS, Sales support in Tech Software, or related field. 
  • Good written and oral communications skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to stay organized, communicate confidently, and show genuine curiosity about customer needs, particularly understanding why customers choose SAS and how our solutions support their business goals and use cases. Must be eager to learn from real‑world business scenarios and apply insights in a fast‑evolving environment.
  • Leadership abilities. Your past experiences demonstrate you’ll take initiative and go above and beyond the call of duty.
  • You’re interested in the future of analytics and embrace technology.
  • You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn new tools/software that support our customer success organization.
  • Academic or work experience with SAS, Python or programming in a third or fourth generation language  

 

Timeline

Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant’s year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 – $30 for associate’s/bachelor’s level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master’s/Ph.D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonus.
