The Pre-Sales teams partner with our sales teams on technical activities to maximize revenue opportunities, while ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. Do you possess a technical aptitude to solve complex big data business problems? In this internship, you’ll learn SAS core competencies in advanced analytics, data management, or visualization. Pre-Sales interns are part of a team providing consultative services and producing solution proposals for our customers.

 

As an intern, you might:

  • Work with the sales team on technical activities to maximize revenue opportunities and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide consultative services, including architecture recommendations to support proposed solutions, and possessing technical aptitude to solve complex big data business problems based on SAS core competencies in advanced analytics, data management and visualization.
  • Identify appropriate architecture, applications, tools and solutions for targeted accounts.
  • Prepare technical demonstrations, proof of concepts and presentations based on client needs.
  • Conduct discovery meetings to collect, analyze, clarify and document business requirements during the sales cycle to support the implementation team and produce a detailed solution proposal.

  

Required Qualifications 

  • You are an undergraduate student studying Statistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, or related quantitative field; not graduating prior to December 2026. 
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to break down complex business problems into clear, structured components.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, tools, and concepts
  • You’re curious, passionate, authentic and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do. 
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal. 
  • Leadership abilities. Your past experiences demonstrate you’ll take initiative and go above and beyond the call of duty.
  • You’re interested in the future of Analytics and embrace technology

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Programming experience in Python, R, SAS, etc. 
  • Foundational understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
  • Machine Learning interest and experience.
  • Interest in customer-facing roles, technical storytelling, or presenting complex information in a clear and engaging way.

  

Timeline

Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant’s year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 – $30 for associate’s/bachelor’s level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master’s/Ph.D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonus.
