Our industry‑leading technology and cloud infrastructure are developed and supported by some of the most talented engineers in the world. As a Cloud & Information Services Intern, you’ll contribute to projects that support the design, deployment, automation, and maintenance of SAS cloud environments and internal information systems. You’ll work according to established engineering practices, timelines, and quality standards to help ensure our environments are secure, efficient, and reliable.

 

Interns may work within a variety of technical teams across SAS, including Cloud Operations, IT Infrastructure, Global Hosting & SAS Cloud, Information Security, Network Engineering, Platform Operations, and other supporting business units. Depending on team needs, interns may have opportunities to work in cloud engineering, systems administration, automation, DevOps, monitoring, networking, or platform support.

 

Upon applying, your profile will be reviewed and aligned to roles based on your prior experience and areas of interest. Your resume may be shared with hiring managers across multiple teams. If selected for interviews, you’ll receive more details about the specific team you may join.

Required qualifications

  • You’re an undergraduate college student enrolled in an accredited program, not graduating prior to December 2026.  
  • Currently pursuing undergraduate degree studying Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a similar technical field
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.  
  • Leadership abilities. Your past experiences demonstrate you’ll take initiative and go above and beyond the call of duty.
  • You’re interested in the future of analytics and embrace technology.
  • You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.

Preferred qualifications

  • Programing experience in any of the following languages: Java, Python, C, C#, HTML, CSS, SAS, R, JavaScript, Go, React, Angular, or other languages.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure), container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), APIs, source management systems (Git, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Experience with Linux or Windows Server, networking fundamentals, identity and access management, or system monitoring.
  • If you know SAS programming that’s an added bonus!

Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant’s year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 – $31 for associate’s/bachelor’s level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master’s/Ph.D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonus.
