About the job

The Brand Marketing & Creative team is looking for a Director, Content Strategy & Orchestration to set enterprise content direction and build an operating model that enables consistent, high-impact content across channels.

In this role, you’ll translate business priorities into a scalable content strategy and roadmap, align leaders on what we focus on (and why), and establish governance, standards, and measures that improve content quality, efficiency, and ROI. You’ll lead through influence in a matrixed environment, bringing together teams across Brand, Creative, Portfolio Marketing, Digital, Communications, Field marketing and regions to plan, sequence, activate, and optimize content as a system.  You will define how content is orchestrated across channels and customer journeys - ensuring the right content is delivered at the right time, in the right context, and for the right audience at scale.

As a Director, Content Strategy & Orchestration, you will:

  • Define and drive an enterprise content vision and multi-channel strategy aligned to business priorities, customer needs, and brand positioning; translate it into a clear roadmap and decision framework. Ensure this strategy reflects an AI-centric approach to content – optimizing for both human engagement and machine-driven discovery, retrieval, and interpretation.
  • Establish and evolve the content operating model (intake, prioritization, governance, and quality controls) to enable consistent, scalable execution across teams and partners. Ensure teams are equipped to operate within a modern, AI-centric content ecosystem, including skills in structured content, modular reuse, and data-informed decision making.
  • Serve as executive steward of brand voice and content architecture, ensuring narrative consistency across channels, audiences, and regions while enabling speed through clear principles and approval mechanisms.
  • Define the measurement framework for content effectiveness (impact, influence, revenue contribution, and brand outcomes) and use performance insights to drive optimization priorities (including SEO and discoverability).
  • Design and implement a structured thought leadership program that identifies, enables, and elevates internal experts as influential voices through targeted content and engagement opportunities. Align thought leadership to broader content strategy and authority-building efforts, ensuring it contributes to both brand influence and discoverability across channels and AI-driven experiences.
  • Embrace curiosity, passion, authenticity and accountability. These are our values and influence everything we do.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise content strategy, content marketing, editorial strategy, or related marketing roles.
  • Proven ability to set content strategy, align senior stakeholders, and drive adoption of operating models/standards across distributed teams without direct authority.
  • Experience building measurement frameworks and using performance insights to improve content effectiveness, discoverability, and channel outcomes.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Additional competencies, knowledge and skills

  • Strategic thinking – Connects business priorities to an enterprise content roadmap, makes tradeoffs, and defines success measures.
  • Cross-functional leadership & influence – Aligns diverse stakeholders, establishes decision rights, and drives adoption in a matrixed environment.
  • Operational excellence – Builds scalable processes, governance, and quality standards that improve speed, consistency, and impact.

Additional experience (preferred):

  • SEO/discoverability strategy; content platform expertise (CMS, DAM, workflow tools, analytics); responsible, practical use of AI to improve content development, reuse, and efficiency.
