About the job
As an EVAAS Sr. Educator Support Specialist, your primary role will be to provide effective and engaging training for teachers, administrators, and others who use EVAAS reporting. In this role, you will work with other educator support specialists to assess customers’ training needs, develop EVAAS course offerings, create training materials, and deliver training for end users. You will regularly interact with cross-functional teams within EVAAS and use K-12 expertise and training skills to inform the EVAAS development and production process that enhances our reporting for educator use.
As a Senior Technical Trainer, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with a fun and dynamic team of former K-12 educators to vision, plan, create, and deliver impactful training events both virtually and in-person
- Building relationships with your team and clients to earn their trust and confidence in your work and ideas
- Creating role-based training sessions that teach purposeful use of data within the K-12 setting
- Delivering hands-on, activity-based training sessions for customers/users that are highly engaging and technically informative
- Writing, designing, and editing training materials and documents
- Using multiple training platforms, including face-to-face sessions, live virtual webinars, digital on-demand learning, and video recordings
- Participating in continuous improvement processes
- Traveling as required for on-site training events
- Ensuring all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals

Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an education-related field
- At least 8 or more years of experience in K-12 education working as an administrator, teacher leader, or other role that uses data to inform practice
- Positive and energetic collaborator for productivity, accuracy, and efficiency
- Attentiveness to details and giving and receiving feedback to inform our work and make our training deliveries better
- Excellent training and facilitation skills, including developing and delivering highly engaging sessions
- Creative energy bringing new ideas, experiences, and cultural awareness promoting inclusiveness and respect for all
- Using technology platforms such as Teams, Zoom, or an equivalent to facilitate learning
- Ability to follow processes for effective and efficient documentation of training events
- Thorough education industry expertise
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
- Good problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to travel: 10- 25% travel requirement on average
- MS Office Suite with an emphasis on MS PowerPoint expertise
- Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
