About the job

The North American Commercial Channel Sales Team is looking for a Sr. Associate Account Representative. Our team is focused on selling SAS software, education, and services into a range of industries in the Commercial space in the US and Canada. 

 

What you'll do:

  • Discover, qualify and close sales opportunities through focused prospecting, cold calling, and email cadence execution.  
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers to keep customers informed about new products and to increase SAS usage throughout an organization. 
  • Retain renewals within existing accounts. 
  • Work with relevant resources throughout SAS that are part of your extended sales team. 
  • Help drive business through our channel partners.
  • Build and cultivate trusted relationships with customers, prospects, channel partners, and internal stakeholders to drive engagement, uncover opportunities, and support long-term business growth.  

 

 

Required qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of experience in prospecting and/or sales
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-driven, organized, and have strong time management skills
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish trust and credibility with customers, partners, and cross-functional teams  
  • Curiosity, accountability, authenticity and passion for learning; these are SAS values and influence everything we do
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications
  • Position location:  Cary, HQ hybrid (minimum of 3 days in the office - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

  • Knowledge of hardware and software acquisition cycles and buying influences
  • Refines and continuously improves prospecting and sales techniques
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics, develop a sales plan, and accurately forecast sales
